Hero for Winds of Change - Guild Wars Forums

Does anyone know if we're getting a hero at the end of Winds of Change (like War in Kryta) and if so, does anyone have any speculation as to what kind of a hero it might be?

We dont need any more heros - seriously we dont.
there has to be almost 20 heros now or just a few over that.
Why do we need another hero ?
Infact why offer more heros when some players can get mercs instead and they are more useful than heros.
And war in kryta didnt give another hero - hearts of the north gave the hero last time i checked and if i recall a lot of ppl even complained about getting another hero when we had enough.Hopefully this time anet will refrain from heros and do something a lot better instead - chances are it may be weapons

I'd have to agree. Even without Merc heroes we already have too many. Although, it wouldn't surprise me to get an Assassin at the end of WoC.

Since, no one can answer the question (accept anet). We would have to wait until the end of phase 2 and/or 3 of winds of change.

If I was the wagering type.... I'd say that WoC will NOT have a hero at the end.

WoC only requires Factions. Factions has no heros. Adding a hero to Factions doesn't fit the content.

WiK required EoTN which has heros, so a hero seems to fit that content.

Though from past experiences: we got Keiran from wik, a good chance of one from woc (though I would like another mesmer and NOT another useless melee hero).

at some point John mentioned armor upgrades for Keiran so..we might see him again in upcoming stuff?????

We don't need more heroes - Really who says so no one asked me so I am not part of this We whoever they are.

Look some want no heroes some say we have enough but I recon just as many players want more and for heavens sake does it really affect anyone else who isn't going to use them.

Some time back around easter someone suggested rabbit ears and tail for characters and there was an immediate we don't want cute anime stuff in our game rant froth at the mouth etc, well we have cat ears though no tail.

But in the long run what does someone wanting something cosmetic or another hero matter.

Use them don't use them.

Mm. If memory serves, people didn't complain about "What? Another hero!?!" with Kieran; they complained about his profession.

I wouldn't mind another hero. I'd welcome it. It would even things out a bit to compete with some of the merc hero setups people have going...if the profession was right.

I wouldn't object to another Rit hero if only to make it somewhat easier to aquire then the current two, who are only available after either completing Nightfall or besting them in the Norn Tournament, something that can be difficult for some professions.

I haven't bothered with the Winds of Change content yet, probably gonna do it all at once when it's fully available. But guessing from the sheer amount of anger/whining around here... wouldn't that be considerably more difficult than just finishing Nightfall?

I hope so, we are missing 2x Ritualist Heroes (now Razah isn't stricly a Ritualist, technically there's only one Ritualist hero, and if you argue you can make him a Ritualist and count him as the 2nd Ritualist hero, then you could make the same argument that there is infact 4 heroes of each profession instead of just 3, so Ritualist heroes would still be 2 behind the rest), 1x Assassin Hero (even though they are pretty useless) and 1x Mesmer Hero.

No way we will recieve all these heroes extra from WoC, infact I doubt it'll happen before GW2 if at all, but it would be nice to be able to say that there is exactly three heroes of each profession, with one wildcard hero.

I hope we'll get more, but really, there's one thing that we all forget: The heroes we got so far were only from NF and EotN content (Keiran is still EotN, not Prophecies content).

It would certainly be nice if Anet did add heroes, especially the missing Ritualists and Mesmers, but I doubt they'll be willing to break the "Buy Nightfall! Get heroes!" market philosophy.
